National Youth Leadership Challenge

Each year the leadership challenge, NYLC (National Youth Leadership Challenge) is held. It moves around the Midwest to different universities giving more of the Maine-Anjou juniors an opportunity to attend. The programs are designed and carried out by the AJMAA Board of Directors and the Junior Activities Director in cooperation with the hosting college. This event serves many purposes, it is a guide for juniors to become better leaders of their own state associations, it serves as an open line of communication for members of different state associations to share ideas, plans, and goals. It gives each participant an opportunity to take an active part in setting goals for the association and themselves, and methods of accomplishing those goals. Not only is the responsibility and success of the association stressed, but also the responsibility, success and character of its individual members.
